The Ohio State University is constructing a combined heat and power plant (CHP) on campus. This plant will produce thermal energy and electricity for OSU’s main campus, but will run on natural gas, a nonrenewable resource that is obtained by fracking. Due to its extreme effects on the environment, fracking and the fossil fuel industry should be divested from at all costs.
In March of 2021 OHYCJ launched our campaign to end the construction on the gas plant. Our demands are outlined below.
